MAPLEWOOD PROFESSIONAL
FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION
FMBA LOCAL 25 / IAFF L-4525
Dear Friends,
The members of Maplewood Professional Firefighters Association (FMBA Local 25/IAFF L-4525) held a “Day at the Races” fundraiser at Monmouth Park on Wednesday, July 23 to help offset medical expenses incurred by retired Maplewood Firefighter Greg Snell.
Greg began his career in 1985. In 2004, he was forced to retire with an ordinary disability pension after 18-1/2 years of service to the Township of Maplewood due to renal failure caused by kidney disease. Greg has been in and out of the hospital several times due to complications of this disease and presently is on kidney dialysis three times a week. Because he started on the fire department shortly before the social security laws relating to firefighter contributions were changed, he is ineligible for Medicaid benefits that are normally available to dialysis patients.
If you were unable to attend and wish to make a donation to this cause, please make checks payable to “Maplewood FMBA Local 25” and write “FF. Snell Benefit” in the subject line and mail to : Maplewood Professional Firefighters Association, 105 Dunnell Rd., Maplewood, NJ 07040.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Sincerely,
The members of Maplewood Professional Firefighters Association
